PA Classics is excited to announce that a former player of Pa Classics, Christian Pulisic, is making a substantial donation to the club in the form of improving our facilities at Classics Soccer Park. We will be breaking ground soon on additional training areas that will be able to be utilized by individuals and all teams in the club.
As many of you know, Christian Pulisic, a Hershey PA native, was a member of the PA Classics family as a youth soccer player participating in the Development Academy for a handful of years. Additionally, the club was fortunate to have Christian’s father Mark on staff as a coach for those same years. Upon leaving the club at 16 years of age, Christian moved to Germany with his father to join the Borussia Dortmund youth soccer academy before being called up to first team in January of 2016 as a 17 year old. Subsequently, we have all enjoyed watching Christian’s development and rise on the worlds stage with his transfer to Chelsea and his participation on the United States National Team.
Plans are now in place to break ground as soon as weather permits on the PULISIC STOMPING GROUNDS. We are excited and grateful that Christian is making such a sizeable contribution to the club and to the development of Pa Classics players. The project will see the construction of a series of small sided turf fields designed specifically for technical development and small sided games. The three mini fields will be different sizes which will allow for a variety of training possibilities for teams and individuals. Along with the construction of the fields, there will also be a sitting area which will be a nice area for parents to hang out while kids are at the facility.
Look for the project to start soon at PA Classics Park...we anticipate having a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house at the completion of the project sometime during the summer. Look for more information on those dates in the coming months!
