Congratulation to Classics Alum Andrew Wenger, who in December of 2010 was named to the NSCAA Division 1 Men’s All-American 1st Team. Wenger, currently a sophomore at Duke University was part of the PA Classics class of 2009 where he was an instrumental member of the PAC USSF Development Academy Team. The All-American nod is just the latest in a string of achievments for the Duke centerback which include; 2009 ACC Rookie of the Year, 2009 & 2010 All-South Region 1st Team, 2009 & 2010 All-ACC 1st Team, and 2010 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Andrew has also been selected as a semi-finalist for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy. Lastly, Soccer News Net and its editors have selected Andrew Wenger as one of the best players in Division I college soccer, and put him on their online ballot for fan voting in selecting the award winner. This on-line voting accounts for 40% of the total votes counted in selecting the national and regional winners.
